Sizing

How do I know which size fits me?

Please look closely at the size chart on the product pages. Our two pieces run a bit large. If you are in-between sizes, size down. You can also find instructions on how to measure your body in the size guide.

I have a long torso and I am in-between sizes. Which size one piece should I get?

In that case you should size up.

Why don’t you offer extended sizing?

We are working on offering a wider range of sizes! Stay tuned.

About Deta Suits

Do the suits keep their shape when wet?

Yes, the suit stays as it is. It does not get wider when wet nor does it stretch over time.

How fast do the suits dry?

They dry as quickly as a regular bathing suit.

What are the suits made of?

The suits are knitted out of Polyester yarn. This yarn has the property of drying fast.

Sustainability

Why don’t you use a more sustainable yarn?

We are constantly on the hunt for a more sustainable yarn.
The challenge is that most sustainable yarn is produced to make fabric. So the factories that produce that kind of yarn sell big quantities of it. The minimums are really high, around 200 lbs. Usually the yarn is raw white and only dyed once it is woven into fabric. So it is tricky to find a company that is willing to sell small amounts. The next challenge is to find a dye house that can dye the yarn in different colors, but their minimum is also high. Just to give an example: For our SS21 collection we ordered 50 lbs and that included 4 colors.

What is sustainable about your brand?

We are producing only small batches of swimsuits to make sure everything can be sold and we have no inventory left.  Knitwear is a zero waste technology, so we only use as much yarn as needed.None of our raw materials end up in landfills!
